Fall will be soon
Evenings are in the low 40's - fireplace time!

Welcome to my website.  There are many reasons to choose an insurance agent and trust is one of the biggest.  Can you trust your agent to find the right coverage at the lowest price for you?  Can you trust your agent to be there when you need them?  ?  I hope you will consider me as the right agent for you.  As you look through this website, I'll try to explain why I think you can trust me.

You might wonder about the picture to the left.  I wanted you to see that, here in Cripple Creek, we 'clean up' rather nicely.
Seriously, my wife Nancy and I are members of the Gold Camp Victorian Society.  For many occasions we get to dress up.  It's sort of like Halloween for adults.

Please take the opportunity to click on the several pages of this website (the choices are on top).  These pages will help me tell you why I believe you and I can become partners in making sure you have all of the insurance you need, and none of the coverage you don't need..

I'd like to earn your trust

We're Local, And Open 8-1

Good News! For the past year and a half I've partnered with a great agency.   The agency is owned by Barrett Bartels – an extremely competent individual who has a great staff of agents ready to serve you when I’m not in my office here in Cripple Creek. Nothing changes as far as my ability to help you with your insurance needs.  They are here by phone for you from 1 PM to 5 PM when I'm not in the office.  They have access to your policies and can do anything I can do - take payments, make changes, write new policies and answer your questions.

My office will continue to be open from 8 AM until 1 PM Monday through Friday and then at the same phone number, my partners are there.   As I said before, from 1 PM until 5 PM, my partners at the Barrett Bartels agency will answer my phone and will have full access to your records. As fully licensed agents, they can handle everything I can – new policies, changes to existing policies, take payments and they can answer any questions you may have.

Barrett’s staff can accept checking account numbers, credit or debit cards over the phone. If you need to pay using cash, you can bring it to me in the morning or you can buy a prepaid debit card from Family Dollar or City Market or a postal money order at the post office before calling in the afternoon. At night and weekends, you can pay by calling the company you are insured with.
The Team at the agency consists of:
Barrett Bartels – Owner
Christina Quintana – Commercial Account Manager
Curtis Rember – Producer/Agent
Kimberly Alire – Personal Lines Managing Agent
Ron Casias – Producer/Agent
Michelle Goldberg – Personal Account Manager/Producer
Miranda Penny - Receptionist
Vivian Bartels – Commercial Lines Managing Agent

Their addition has made Gold Camp Insurance even better!

More good news! As an independent agent, I was always pleased to check several different companies to find you the best value; Barrett has many additional carriers – such as Allstate. Safeco, Auto-Owners and Nationwide. He has technology that, once they put your information into his system, it will automatically get quotes from dozens of different companies allowing me or my new partner agents to provide the best policy for you.

I’m excited to expand my availability for you. From 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Friday you can  call 719 689 3022 and know that someone from Gold Camp Insurance is waiting there to help you.

Thank you for being part of the Gold Camp Insurance family. We are ready to help with all of your insurance needs.

Seriously, summer and fall are the best times to visit Cripple Creek - days cool, normally 68 to 72 degrees, nights in the 40's and 50's.   Lots of activities in summer and early fall.

Go to Cripple Creek visitor's website and you can see lots of pictures and descriptions of the many events.  For Example:

Aspen Tours with the 2 Miles High Club

Weekends, September 22nd & 23rd, and September 29th & 30th

This September and every September, join us the 2 Mile High Club for Aspen tours and watch the leaves change and as a result, benefit our free-roaming, donkey herd! The 2 Mile High Club’s annual Aspen tours will take place at the Cripple Creek District Museum. Marvel at the beautiful fall colors and explore the World’s Greatest Gold Camp! Aspen Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis–reservations will not be accepted.

The first tour departs from the Cripple Creek District Museum at 9 a.m. If you would like to try to be a part of this first tour, please plan to arrive 30 minutes to 45 minutes prior. The last tour departs at 3:30 p.m.

Our Aspen tours are free, but we always appreciate donations. All proceeds gathered from the Aspen Tours go towards the care of Cripple Creek’s free-roaming donkey herd. You can find them in the winter pen during the colder months or they can be spotted roaming the streets of Cripple Creek during the summer.
